How to communicate with each other between the worlds? The piece traces three generations of women who all went through the experience of a miscarriage. Crossing the stories in a non-linear manner, I want to haunt the echoes of my ancestors and many other women who share this ?

I attempt to touch a social nerve related to the historical stigma of a miscarriage and trace its origins. The installation is a metaphorical womb that holds bodies of the visitors in a space of intimacy and invites them to enter a slow gesture of shared existence regardless of the cultural and political taboos.
The work is a gesture towards a reproduction of a ritual passed to me by my grandmother – a wax pouring ceremony that takes the fears away from one’s body. This practice is a sensual connection between bodies throughout generations and activates the memory of their physical and metaphorical existence beyond time.
